Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Join Mammoth Hospital psychologist Dr. Jacob Eide in an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. This empirically-supported program is designed to help in the “how” of learning to practice, integrate, and apply mindfulness to deal more effectively with stress and the demands of daily life.
This safe, reputable, and standardized program was developed in the 1970s at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center by John Kabat-Zinn, PhD. MBSR may be particularly beneficial assisting people with stress, anxiety, depression, and pain. MBSR research outcomes have shown participant improvements in physical and psychological symptoms as well as positive changes in health attitudes and behaviors.
