Hit the Ground Running: Strength & Conditioning for Trail Running

    10-participant maximum fosters team environment, accountability and encouragement, and greater individual attention.

  • Technique

    Biomechanical education and recommended drills promote optimal technique for increased efficiency and minimized injury risk.

  • Fitness

    Enhance fitness for the trails with progressive in-class mobility, stability, agility, balance, and coordination exercises and with home practice handouts.

  • Recovery

    Prevent time loss due to overload injuries or illness with appropriate volume build-up and recommended restorative practices to facilitate recovery.

  • Hit the Ground Running is a 6-week gym strength and conditioning course geared to prevent common running injuries, improve mechanics, and enhance performance.

    This exercise course meets bi-weekly and includes exercise handouts for future reference. All levels of experience are welcome!

    Monday & Wednesday 5:30PM - 6:30PM

  • Hit the Ground Running is held in our Mammoth location (121 College Pkwy, Mammoth Lakes, CA) in the gym of the South Gateway Apartments.

  • Hit the Ground Running 12-sessions: $180 (equivalent of $15/session)

    Hit the Ground Running drop-in session: $25/session

  • Participants younger than 18 years of age are required to have parental consent. This course is not open to individuals younger than 14 years of age at this time.

    Please wear comfortable clothing and supportive footwear for movement and exercise, and bring a hand towel and water bottle.

  • Sign up early! Courses with fewer than 3 participants enrolled 24 hours in advance are subject to cancellation.

    Notify us of plan changes early! Participant course cancellations with less than 24-hour notification are subject to charge.

  • We have open enrollment so you can still sign up for an unfilled course and catch the remaining sessions! You may also join the waitlist and we will contact you when future course dates become available.

  • Participation in all 12 sessions is highly encouraged but not required. Each session can stand alone and participants will come away from each session with beneficial training tips.
