Hit the Ground Running

"Hit the Ground Running" is a 6-session strength training course to help participants transition from Winter sliding activities back to the roads and trails. This pre/early season course focuses especially on core stability and leg strength to improve mechanics and prevent common overuse injuries.

This course is intended for participants interested in reducing overuse injury risk and improving performance while running. This course may also be appropriate for non-runners (walkers/hikers/backpackers) as reasonable activity modifications and progressions will be offered to help participants meet their needs and goals. All levels of experience are welcome.

Hit the Ground Running is held in our Mammoth location (121 College Pkwy, Mammoth Lakes, CA) in the gym of the South Gateway Apartments.

Hit the Ground Running is covered by Elevate class pass pricing (single session $15 with multipass discounts).

Please wear comfortable clothing and supportive footwear for movement and exercise, and bring a hand towel and water bottle.

Sign up early! Courses with fewer than 3 participants enrolled 24 hours in advance are subject to cancellation.
Notify us of plan changes early! Participant course cancellations with less than 12-hour notification are subject to charge.

We have open enrollment so you can still sign up for an unfilled course and catch the remaining sessions!

Participation in all 6 sessions is highly encouraged but not required. Each session can stand alone and participants will come away from each session with beneficial training tips.
